Our equipment is installed in minibuses handed over to care institutions
8 new minibuses adapted to the needs of the disabled have been delivered to social care institutions. These vehicles are intended for the Adakavas Social Service Homes, Didvyžiai, Kėdainiai, Linkuva, Macikai, Strėvininkai, Venta and Suvalkija Social Care Homes.
The Department of Social Services Supervision under the Ministry of Social Security and Labour had announced a public procurement tender for the purchase of minibuses with special equipment for disabled people with mobility impairments.
I am glad that we (UAB Auto Moto Ng) won this tender. The new M1 category Ford Transit minibuses have nine seats with the possibility of adapting them for the transportation of disabled people. For this, it will only be necessary to remove one row of rear seats and it will be possible to safely transport 2 disabled people in wheelchairs. In order to facilitate the entry of disabled people into vehicles, the cars are equipped with hydraulic lifts and auxiliary mechanical steps. We have also installed the latest and most advanced lifts on the market, which are not only easy and safe to operate, but can also lift up to 400 kg. Such a lifting capacity allows you to load not only a disabled person and an accompanying person into the car at the same time, but also a heavy electric wheelchair with electric batteries, as well as disabled people with an increased body mass index, without additional effort. Great attention is paid to ensuring the safety of wheelchairs and the disabled themselves – 4-point wheelchair fastening and 3-point disabled person protection systems have been installed. “We are happy and proud to be able to contribute to improving the quality of services of social service institutions. We hope that these new Ford Transit cars will not only facilitate the transportation of disabled people, but also ensure their safety and comfort during the trip,” said Nerijus Gasickas, head of UAB “Auto Moto NG”. We purchased the latest minibuses from the official Ford representative in Lithuania – UAB Inchcape motors, which will provide warranty and post-warranty repairs for new Ford cars.
This project is financed from the state budget. About 318 thousand euros were used to purchase 8 minibuses. This year, it is planned to additionally purchase and adapt 9 more minibuses for the disabled, which would meet the needs of not only residents of nursing homes, but also people with mobility disabilities.
Over the past few years, we have installed several dozen minibuses adapted for the disabled for various Lithuanian organizations. We noticed that there is a significant lack of information in Lithuania about the possibilities of transporting the disabled, as well as a significant lack of companies that install certified and compliant equipment in accordance with European Union standards.
We would like to remind you that on this website users can familiarize themselves with equipment for the disabled, various types of installation of equipment for the disabled and options that we can install in the car chosen by the client. It is also relevant that the company installs equipment for the disabled in cars of as many as 13 different manufacturers, “- noted Nerijus Gasickas, the head of UAB “Auto Moto NG”.
In the near future, we will introduce the latest option for installing disabled equipment in fully electric minibuses.
